When
the ‘Police’ and the ‘General Public’ become
‘mutually’ Paranoid ………………
It
is not only this country, which ‘was’
once known for its very rich cultural and social ethos, but the rest of the world
has become a shelter for revolting incidences, that are on the upsurge on every
passing day. Most often, the circumstances are ‘Religion & Esteem’ oriented,
backed by the self-crafted attitude prevailing mostly among the youth, who are
bereft of Guidance at the right and required age! Instead of addressing
elementary issues, the world is heading towards catastrophe in the name of
Technological Advancement and Contemporary life-style. Though, every community
is focusing on educating their stake-holders, in their own manner, little is
being done to articulate the most needed custom of ‘Comprehension and Perseverance’
– even to the bare minimum levels.
Our
law-enforcing authorities are encountered with a slew of problems – which are
competing with solutions, head-on, becoming more & more daunting,
day-by-day; the crime rate in the past couple of decades, irrespective of its
gravity, is raging along the ‘ordinate’ and is highly unlikely to tend towards
the ‘abscissa’ – which must be an eye opener for every law-abiding citizen of
this society, which, once strived for true peace and serenity; the Law-Enforcing
authorities are no exception to this basic perception, since they too are human
beings, but only underneath their ‘attire’ - which is merely cosmetic! The
misconception that an individual reasons to claim in-dispensation to his profession tantamount
to arbitrary, insipid conclusion – since this society looks for mutual coexistence
and not domination – if empathy and respectable living is the Goal!
The
logical end to any activity must be subject-specific or issue-specific and cannot
be generalized for individual convenience or authority vested with them, but
aims at the transformation, the solution may bring in the mindset of every
single individual and must gift back a truly tangible outcome for the health of
this deeply fouled society. Until and unless a ‘prompt’ workable bond is
established, true harmony cannot be perceived – one must empathize the fact
that ‘Hate begets Hatred’ and ‘Comprehension sprouts Accord’!
The
very purpose of any profession, without exception to Police, on this earth is nothing
more than ‘Handful of Work’ and ‘Mindful
of Sleep’! When one retires after a day’s hard work, he must relish all the
good deeds of the ‘Day’ that has passed off and dream of constructive thoughts
for the following morning. When a ‘professional’ retires after long years of
contribution to the society, he must get an adoring farewell, not abhorring,
with ear-splitting thunder of Applause; when a Human being retires after
completing his long innings as a player, after facing, if not solving, several challenges,
some successfully and few discreetly, most of the many assertively, his final departure
must volunteer the society bid a solemn farewell through couple of drops of
Tears – which never becomes History but may prove to be the inspiration only for
those who prefer to enlighten others!
This is not Philosophy or Rhetoric, but absolute and undeniable Verity which is based on
the goings-on in the society of which every human being is a co-sponsor! Only
when the obsessed underwriters of this society, understand to realize the
spirit of Harmony, use of authority takes the backseat – for a Good Cause! Let
Humanity prevail even in the Hearts of the Toughest Cop, because a Cop too has
a Heart, that Beats in the same manner and Rhythm as that of an ordinary
Citizen!
